FaceApp Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2025
This Cookie Policy tells you about how FaceApp Technology Limited (“FaceApp”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at www.faceapp.com (the “Site”) and related FaceApp mobile applications (each, the “App” and collectively “Apps”) (collectively, including the Site, the “Services”). This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions or concerns about the Cookie Policy or its implementation, please contact us at [email protected] or as otherwise described in our Privacy Policy.
1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
In the context of our Site, Cookies are small text files of letters and numbers that are stored and accessed by the browser on your computer or mobile device (for example, Google Chrome or Safari). In the context of our Apps, Cookies mean any technology that stores or accesses information on the user’s device, including any SDKs, unique IDs, pixels and local storage. Our Services, and our partners if you agree to it, use cookies, unique IDs, and similar technologies (collectively, “Cookies”) to distinguish you from other users of our Services.
2. HOW WE USE COOKIES
Our Site (www.faceapp.com) does not use cookies. The following categories of Cookies and similar technologies, and their descriptions, apply to their use within our Apps:
- Essential Cookies: These are required to allow you to use the Apps. For example, we need to store your App Instance ID to provide you with the core functionality of the Apps. As essential cookies and similar technologies are necessary, we can use them without your consent.
- Analytics Cookies: These help us understand how the Apps perform, how users interact with the Apps, and help us identify improvements for enhanced user-experience within the Apps.
- Troubleshooting Cookies: These are used for troubleshooting, testing, and researching within the Apps, and help us improve quality by recording errors, application crashes and performance issues.
- Marketing Cookies: These are used to understand where our Apps’ traffic comes from to improve our marketing strategies and promotional campaigns for the Apps.
You can learn about your options for managing the data collection settings of these technologies under the “How do I Manage my Cookie Preferences” section below.
You can also find out more about the usage of these Cookies and similar technologies in our Apps on the Cookie Banner inside the Apps and by using the App privacy settings.
We allow our service providers to place Cookies and similar technologies on our Apps to help us store, access and process information for the purposes described above.
3. HOW DO I MANAGE MY COOKIE PREFERENCES?
You can manage your preferences for Non-Essential Cookies and similar technologies used within our Apps through the mechanisms described below. However, note that even these Non-Essential technologies are important to many aspects of the App experience.
Cookie Banner: Within our Apps, you will be presented with a Cookie Banner that allows you to accept or reject Non-Essential Cookies and similar technologies. We only use these Non-Essential technologies with your prior consent. By selecting the accept button, you consent to the use of all Non-Essential Cookies and similar technologies. You can also use the reject button to decline them. You can manage your consent preferences by selecting the customize button on the banner or by navigating to the “Privacy & Legal” section in the App settings at any time.
Revoke consent: You have the right to modify or withdraw your consent for Non-Essential Cookies and similar technologies at any time with future effect by navigating to the “Privacy & Legal” section in our Apps. You may revoke your consent at any time with future effect by changing your settings via our in-App Cookie Banner or App privacy settings.
Mobile Device Settings. Your mobile device settings may provide functionality to limit use of advertising identifiers (like Apple’s IDFA or Android’s Advertising ID) or other similar technologies associated with your mobile device, which may be used by some of the Marketing or Analytics technologies in our Apps.
Note that the above opt-out mechanisms are specific to the device on which they are exercised. You will need to manage your preferences on every device that you use to access our Apps.
